Business Productivity Tools

Productivity is defined as the rate at which results are generated, the quantity generated especially in relation to the effort, time, and money needed to generate them. To guarantee Business Success in these highly competitive and challenging times, there are, no doubt, tools that are essential. A number of traditional Business Productivity Tools include:

Traditional Business Productivity Tools include:

A standard complementary card with your contact details that you always have within reach.
A working mobile (cellular) phone. If possible, try and subscribe to more than one network provider such that if one of them is out of coverage area, you could still be reached through the other one.
Seek out and acquire other tools that would enable you store and keep track of your appointments, contacts, etc, and still access the Internet to pull in your email messages. Nothing can be compared with being able to access your email at any given point in time.
Maintain a constant presence via your email address. (You might need to set up an email alert that forwards new email messages to your phone.)
Of course, you also need a land line. Most enquiries and deals are closed via land lines. They are a lot cheaper to call, except in a few countries where the land line rates and those of mobiles are the same. Secondly, they give a feeling of physical presence to those calling you.
Finally, maintain a presence in your office location and in the event that you have reasons to be out of the office, ensure you have a secretary that is up to date with necessary information regarding your operations. He/she would be able to give out relevant information in your absence.

However, new business productivity tools are constantly coming up.
For example:

1) Webinar - This is short for Web-based seminar, a presentation, lecture, workshop or seminar that is transmitted over the Web.

A key feature of a Webinar is its interactive elements - the ability to give, receive and discuss information. This is quite useful for new product launches. When you consider the reach of the Internet, and the audience targetted, it is a cost effective means of reaching a very wide audience.

2) Webcast - This is similar to a television broadcast (the only difference is that this is done through the Web) in which the data/information transmission is one way and does not allow interaction between the presenter and the audience.

All of these Business tools are very vital in the world of business productivity and success. I encourage you to utilise these for the success of your business. Well, these are the tools I could talk about now.
